Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mr Ae (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ae's entrance music is sponji reggae . A fine choice. Shane Williams is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mr Ae!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shane Williams!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ae shoots in looking for a takedown. Williams tries to sprawl out of it but Ae keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Williams manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Williams clinches.
Williams wants to break the clinch but can't.
Ae tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Ae tries to land a knee to the head but Williams blocks with his arms.
Ae using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Williams has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Ae tries to clinch up but Williams circles away and keeps his distance.

Williams manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Williams has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Ae off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Williams tries to land knees in the clinch but Ae avoids the damage to the body.
Ae is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Williams gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Ae is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Williams pulls his head out easily.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Williams changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ae tries to avoid it but Williams manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ae to the ground. Ae escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Shane Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Williams throws a lazy right hand but Ae sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Shane Williams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Well Williams has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
