The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pop is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
lachida shoots in but Pop avoids the takedown attempt easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Pop drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but lachida manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pop has lachida in his guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as lachida accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Pop has his foot on lachida's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. lachida works his way back into a safe position though.

Pop has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. lachida is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Pop.

Snap Pop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Pop is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked lachida off and has taken his back!
lachida is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Pop.

Snap Pop showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! lachida's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Pop shoots in and drives through. lachida sprawls well.
lachida throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Pop drops his hands momentarily and lachida takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
lachida will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Pop stuffs the takedown attempt from lachida. lachida gets slowly back to his feet.

and Pop decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in lachida's guard.

lachida has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pop can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Pop is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Pop swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and lachida is now in Pop's guard. A big mistake from Pop there, giving up the dominant position!

Pop is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Pop isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. lachida stacks Pop on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by lachida!
Snap Pop has got the better of the ground game so far.
Pop tries to bench press lachida off him but lachida keeps the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

myto lachida has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Despite being in the dominant position, Snap Pop just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by lachida.
