PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Breech (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugh Meatstock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Breech comes to the cage accompanied by "Flight of the Bumble-bee" by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. Hugh Meatstock will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Breech tries to close the distance and clinch but Meatstock swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Meatstock fails in his attempt to clinch.

and Breech counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Breech's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Meatstock is fighting off a takedown attempt but Breech is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Meatstock to the mat. Meatstock regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Breech decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

BOOM! Breech connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Meatstock really wants to buck Breech off and get back to his feet.
Meatstock swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.

Breech stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
A slapping leg kick lands for Meatstock.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Breech tries to close the distance and clinch up but Meatstock swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Meatstock tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Breech clinches but Meatstock breaks the clinch
and Meatstock counters with a head kick. That will keep Breech thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Frank Breech will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Oh Breech is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Meatstock counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Breech to take - he tumbles to the cavas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Meatstock!
