Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Piroco Piqueno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and john smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). smith comes into a darkened arena with his song building. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yb_yVxDyB9s kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Piqueno feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Piqueno feints and then cracks smith's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow smith down.

and smith counters with a big head kick but Piqueno shrugs it off.
smith throws a right and a left that both miss.
smith swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Piqueno throws a quick head kick that skims the top of smith's head.
The fight stays on the outside here - Piqueno looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

smith swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Piqueno.
