The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fortson fails in his attempt to clinch.

Fortson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fortson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Fortson connects with a nice short shot to Vihtahousu's temple.

Vihtahousu working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fortson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fortson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Vihtahousu is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Fortson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Fortson shrugs it off.

Well Vihtahousu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
