Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Takayuki Okubo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyoja Masiina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takayuki Okubo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Lyoja Masiina!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okubo lands a two punch combo.
Masiina throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Okubo counters with a stiff right hand.
No joy there for Okubo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Okubo counters with a leg kick.
Okubo throws a combination that misses
and Masiina counters with a shoot takedown. Okubo fights it but they end up in guard.
Okubo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Masiina manages to get himself to full guard.

Okubo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Masiina swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Masiina bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Masiina wants to lay and pray for a moment but Okubo keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Okubo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Okubo is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Okubo tightens his grip and picks Masiina up, before dumping him to the ground. Masiina manages to land in guard.

Masiina will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Okubo has taken the fight to the clinch.
Masiina has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Okubo is trying to keep an underhook but Masiina manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Okubo is looking to control Masiina's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Okubo avoid being mounted?

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Masiina is on top in guard.

The referee warns Masiina that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Lyoja Masiina comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Masiina has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
