Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Crash Bandicoot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Crash Bandicoot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, John Smith!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Smith closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bandicoot circles away.
Smith steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bandicoot.
Smith throws a shot from downtown. Bandicoot moves away and avoids it.
Smith shoots in looking for a takedown. Bandicoot tries to sprawl out of it but Smith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bandicoot manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bandicoot takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith defending well as Bandicoot loads up on a big left hand.
A telegraphed right hand from Smith misses the target.
John Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bandicoot slips under a jab.
Smith scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Smith shoots for a takedown but Bandicoot saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Crash Bandicoot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Smith.
Bandicoot takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Bandicoot slips under a jab.
Smith misses with a looping right.
Smith thows a body shot but no joy.
Bandicoot throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A big right from Smith misses.

The fighters circling - Bandicoot throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bandicoot as he jumps to the side.
A looping hook to the body misses from Smith. Bandicoot does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bandicoot keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Smith throws a body punch but Bandicoot moves out of range.
Smith shoots in for a takedown but Bandicoot shows good takedown defense.
Bandicoot thows a left - swing and a miss!
Crash Bandicoot is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Smith waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bandicoot.
Smith swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bandicoot ducks under a wild hook from Smith.

Smith fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bandicoot sprawls well initially but Smith persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bandicoot is refusing to be controlled, as Smith sits in half guard.
Smith throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Bandicoot won't allow Smith to pass to mount.
Bandicoot wants to get back to his feet.

Smith looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bandicoot is controlling Smith's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Smith seems to be working for a kimura but Bandicoot defends the submission attempt.
Bandicoot is looking to escape.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bandicoot is trying to maintain the position but Smith is very close to passing his half guard.
Bandicoot is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Smith is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Smith dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Smith throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Smith uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bandicoot.
Bandicoot takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Smith throws a body punch but Bandicoot moves out of range.
Bandicoot keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Smith looks to score with a jab to the body but Bandicoot is just out of range.
Smith avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Bandicoot doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Smith fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bandicoot manages to avoid it.
Smith connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bandicoot. Bandicoot circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Smith misses with a looping right.
Smith misses with a looping left.
A looping hook to the body misses from Smith. Bandicoot does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bandicoot takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Bandicoot bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Smith throws a body punch but Bandicoot moves out of range.
Smith drops his hands momentarily and Bandicoot takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Smith misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bandicoot.
Bandicoot takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Smith misses with an uppercut. Bandicoot saw that one coming.
Bandicoot throws a jab but it's blocked by Smith.
Smith blocks a jab.
Smith throws a body punch but Bandicoot moves out of range.

Smith scores with a sloppy right hand. Bandicoot should have avoided that one.

Smith is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Smith is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Bandicoot tries to kick Smith off but Smith keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Bandicoot is looking for a sweep. Smith is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Smith wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bandicoot keeps working.
Smith thows a huge punch but Bandicoot dodges it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Smith showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Smith lands a jab to Bandicoot's midsection.
Smith just misses with a punch to the body.
Bandicoot misses with a hook.
Smith connects with the punch.
Smith throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Smith throws a shot from downtown. Bandicoot moves away and avoids it.
Bandicoot uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Smith.
Smith takes a swing at Bandicoot's ribcage but misses.

Smith feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Smith stands and throws Bandicoot's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Smith is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bandicoot knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Bandicoot knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Smith on the ground.
Bandicoot is pushing Smith's head away, looking to escape. Smith manages to hold on to the position though.
Bandicoot is not content to let Smith control the position.

Smith is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bandicoot has escaped the position, nice work there.

Smith is trying to get an arm triangle but Bandicoot is defending well.
Bandicoot tries to bench press Smith off him but Smith keeps the position.
The ground and pound from Smith seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Bandicoot is trying to buck Smith off.

Smith tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Smith has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Bandicoot is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Smith asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Bandicoot is looking to regain half guard here but Smith keeps moving and retains side control.
Smith sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Bandicoot is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bandicoot wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Bandicoot is trying to improve his position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Smith working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Bandicoot is trying to control Smith's posture but Smith avoids it.
Smith misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Crash Bandicoot has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
John Smith is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

John Smith comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Smith has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
