Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brad Phoenix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bahnie Mac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mac has chosen Ill Bill - War Is My Destiny (Feat Immortal Technique & Max Cavalera) as his entrance music. Bahnie Mac is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brad Phoenix!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bahnie Mac!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phoenix shoots in but no luck this time.
Phoenix fails to land the takedown.

Mac throws a sloppy head kick and Phoenix moves out of range easily.

Mac is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mac throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Phoenix checks the leg kick.
Phoenix closes the distance and clinches up with Mac, looking for a takedown. Phoenix pushes Mac against the cage but Mac circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mac lands a two punch combo.
Phoenix looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mac is fending him off so far but Phoenix persists. Nope, Mac circles away and we're back to standing.
Phoenix changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mac tries to avoid it but Phoenix manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mac to the ground. Mac escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Mac shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Mac thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Phoenix is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Mac stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Phoenix swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mac drops back looking for a leg! Phoenix is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Phoenix manages to kick Mac off! Mac jumps back into Phoenix's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mac trying to control but Phoenix is working from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mac drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mac jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bahnie Mac dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Despite being in the dominant position, Bahnie Mac just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Phoenix blocks a head kick by Mac.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mac scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Phoenix is looking for a sweep. Mac is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Mac is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Phoenix had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mac is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Phoenix Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mac's back instead.

Phoenix doesn't have the hooks in and Mac manages to turn into his guard.
Mac tries to free his leg and advance position but Phoenix is retaining full guard.
Mac is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Mac slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Mac looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Mac wants to finish this one by submission but Phoenix is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mac.

Phoenix has left one of his arms exposed and Mac doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Phoenix screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
