Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Richard Butts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clark Superman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Butts kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Flight of the Conchords - Business Time. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Butts misses.
Superman shoots in and drives through. Butts sprawls well.
Butts cracks Superman with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Richard Butts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Butts ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Superman moves away.
Butts with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Butts lands a nice looking body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Superman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Butts avoids it really well and circles away.
Superman looks gassed!

Superman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Butts sprawls well initially but Superman persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Butts pushes Superman off and gets back to his feet.
Butts thuds a left hand into Superman's body.
Butts comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Butts shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Butts was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Butts can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Superman is looking to escape.

Superman wants to hold on but Butts pushes him away.
Butts tries to control but Superman wriggling away.
Butts is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Superman is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Butts wants to control but instead Superman manages to regain half guard.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Richard Butts just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Nice body punch from Superman.
Butts throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Butts misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Butts keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Richard Butts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clark Superman.
Superman takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Butts shoots in and bounces Superman off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Superman lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Butts!

Butts really wants to buck Superman off and get back to his feet.

Superman has hold of Butts's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Butts manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Superman goes for an armbar but Butts turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Butts.

Butts wants to pass the guard but Superman is keeping the position.

Butts stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Butts lands with a straight right. Superman didn't see that one coming.
Superman tries to clinch up.
Superman displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Butts.
Nice body kick there by Superman.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Superman lands with a kick to the temple. Butts shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Butts lands a nice hook to Superman's body. Superman takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Superman feints and as Butts raises his hands in defense, Superman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Superman won't allow Butts to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Butts fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Superman takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Butts misses with a leg kick.
Butts shoots in and drives through. Superman sprawls well.

Superman darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Butts is looking to escape.

Superman seems to be looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Superman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Butts is just riding it out for now. Superman eventually gives up the hold.

Butts kicks Superman off and gets back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Superman throws a head kick but Butts moves out of range.
Superman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Butts paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Butts connects with a looping right hand.
A left lands for Butts.
Superman takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Superman takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Butts shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Superman defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richard Butts. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Butts throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Superman on the side of the head.

Superman goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Butts is on top in guard.
Superman can't keep his opponent in guard - Butts advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Butts has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Superman works to full guard.
Butts has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Superman is proving hard to escape from.
Superman lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Butts!
Butts wants to get back to his feet.

Butts on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Butts tries to get out of the position.

Superman throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Butts has his hands clasped together but Superman breaks the hold and Butts is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Superman!
