Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lex Van Dam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Spade!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spade blocks a jab.
Spade throws a right and a left that both miss.
Van Dam dodges the punch combination from Spade.

Van Dam feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Van Dam is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Spade is just riding it out for now. Van Dam eventually gives up the hold.

Spade working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Van Dam doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Van Dam manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Spade has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Van Dam can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Spade has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Van Dam should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Spade has tightened it up now! Van Dam should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
