Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shinobu Morita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yue Fung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yue Fung has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Shinobu Morita's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morita misses with a body kick.
Morita pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Fung feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Morita's calf.

Fung is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Morita is just riding it out for now. Fung eventually gives up the hold.

Fung is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Fung moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Morita has worked his arm free - good work by Morita!
Morita knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fung on the ground.

Fung creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Fung has control of Morita's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Morita regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Morita wants to hold on but Fung pushes him away.

Fung takes Morita's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Morita is in trouble.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Morita decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Fung shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Fung works his foot free and advances to mount.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Morita is desperately trying to improve his position but Fung has a good base and remains in mount.
Morita throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Fung moves to take his opponent's back.
Fung cracks Morita with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Morita from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Morita looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
You can see the frustration on Morita's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Fung is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Morita has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
