Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Tsunami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Shogun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shogun has chosen SAIL - ARMIN VAN BUUREN as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Tsunami!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mauricio Shogun!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tsunami ducks under a wild hook from Shogun.
Tsunami avoids a kick to the body.

Tsunami scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Tsunami tries to move to mount but Shogun blocks the move with his legs.
Tsunami is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Shogun will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Shogun is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Tsunami trying to control the position but Shogun is working away.
Shogun tries to buck Tsunami off but Tsunami is having none of it.
Shogun is pushing Tsunami's head away, looking to escape. Tsunami manages to hold on to the position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Tsunami shoots for a double leg takedown but Shogun sprawls well. He's pushed Tsunami's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Shogun tries a head kick but it misses.
Shogun throws a head kick that misses.
Shogun cracks the inside of Tsunami's front leg.

Shogun pushes Tsunami up against the cage in a clinch.
Shogun tries a knee to the head but Tsunami blocks it.
Shogun connects with a nasty looking knee right to Tsunami's face.

Tsunami tries to pull guard but Shogun holds him up against the cage and eventually Tsunami drops back down to his feet.

Shogun pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tsunami blocks a head kick by Shogun.
Tsunami fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Shogun avoids it really well and circles away.

Tsunami is breathing heavily.

Shogun pushes Tsunami up against the cage in a clinch.

Shogun breaks the clinch.
Shogun tries to move into range but Tsunami moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Tsunami changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shogun looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Shogun wants to get back to his feet.
Shogun can't do much from the bottom here.
Shogun manages to work his way to half guard, despite Tsunami's best efforts.
Tsunami content to control rather than advance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
It looks like Tsunami is going to stand back up.

Tsunami tries to stand but can't do so whilst Shogun controls his leg.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Shogun manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Tsunami has Shogun pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Shogun manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Tsunami lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Tsunami.
Shogun ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tsunami moves away.
Tsunami is trying hard to land a takedown here. Shogun sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Tsunami moves out of range of the strikes.

Tsunami dives in and grabs Shogun's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shogun pushes down on Tsunami's head and hops out.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Shogun counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Shogun tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Shogun crunches a lovely knee into Tsunami's ribcage.

Shogun breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tsunami shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Shogun counters with a body kick that stops Tsunami in his tracks momentarily.
Tsunami doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Shogun makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Tsunami tries to clinch but Shogun moves away
and Shogun counters with a head kick. That will keep Tsunami thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Mauricio Shogun is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Shogun loads up on a big right hand but Tsunami slips the punch.
Tsunami shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shogun sprawls well. Shogun wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tsunami gets slowly back to his feet.

Tsunami shoots in but Shogun avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Tsunami counters with a nice double leg into side control. Shogun won't be happy with that.

Shogun tries to improve position but can't.
Shogun pushes Tsunami away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Tsunami gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Tsunami tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Tsunami tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Shogun is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Shogun really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tsunami. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Shogun tries to bum rush Tsunami with a series of wild strikes but Tsunami uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Shogun throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tsunami sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Tsunami shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Tsunami was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Shogun is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Shogun is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Tsunami is staying active.
Shogun is trying desperately to improve position.
Shogun is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Tsunami manages to capitalize on a mistake by Shogun to take his back!
Shogun wants to control his opponent's hands but Tsunami gets his hands free.
Tsunami throwing wild punches that miss their target.
Even with his hooks in, Tsunami manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Shogun trying to get back to his feet but Tsunami is in full control for now.
Shogun turns into Tsunami and is now in his guard.
Shogun wants to stand but Tsunami has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Tsunami bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Shogun's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Shogun wants to stand up but Tsunami is controlling him.
Tsunami sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Shogun's guard.
Tsunami not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Tsunami stalling.
Shogun is looking for a sweep. Tsunami is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Tsunami controlling the pace.
Shogun won't allow Tsunami to pass to mount.

Shogun is trying to stand up here but Tsunami is controlling him well.
Tsunami wants to pass to mount but Shogun is defending the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Shogun dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Tsunami. That did some damage!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Ivan Tsunami has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Shogun closes the distance and clinches.

I would just about give that final round to Mauricio Shogun.
I've got Shogun winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
