Dias drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Penn manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dias has Penn in his guard.

Penn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dias swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Dias with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Penn to score with a decent uppercut.

Penn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dias manages to avoid it.

Dias stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Penn swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Dias takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Dias shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dias moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Penn has worked his arm free - good work by Penn!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Penn is trying to improve his position.

Dias is trying to get an arm triangle but Penn is defending well.
Penn is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Dias swings around for an armbar but Penn sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Dias's guard.

Penn wants to get up but he can't break Dias's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Penn swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Penn looks to score with a jab to the body but Dias is just out of range.
Dias tries to score a power double leg takedown but Penn sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dias somewhat.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
A jab from Penn finds it's way through Dias's defenses.
Dias moves out of range as Penn throws a body kick.
Dias shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Dias shoots in and bounces Penn off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Dias wants to control from the top but Penn keeps moving.
Penn wants to get back to his feet but Dias is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to DJ Penn.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Penn, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
