The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tozi misses with a series of wild punches.
Tozi thuds his right hand into Barrera's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Tozi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tozi lands in his opponent's guard.

Tozi postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Barrera is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tozi, into his guard.

Barrera got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tozi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Barrera has managed to get both his arms back between Tozi's legs - danger averted.
Barrera wanted to stand there but Tozi had control of the position.
Barrera stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tozi swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Tozi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Barrera defends it easily.

Tozi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Barrera gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Barrera wants to stand but Tozi is controlling his posture from full guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tozi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Barrera defends well.

Tozi manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Tozi shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Tozi is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
