Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Josefski Slabadavski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Josefski Slabadavski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joe Barnes! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksandr Martynov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barnes tries to close the distance and clinch but Slabadavski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Slabadavski fails with the takedown. Barnes tries to clinch but Slabadavski is having none of it. Slabadavski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Barnes's waist but Barnes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Slabadavski off to one side. Nice sprawl there from Barnes as Slabadavski shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josefski Slabadavski. That's going to take a lot out of him. Slabadavski dives in and grabs Barnes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Barnes pushes down on Slabadavski's head and hops out. Barnes displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Slabadavski. Slabadavski avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Barnes tries to clinch but Slabadavski is having none of it. Barnes tries to move into range but Slabadavski moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Barnes throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Slabadavski counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Barnes utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Barnes looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Barnes striking off his back but it's not causing Slabadavski any problems. Barnes trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Slabadavski wants to control from the top but Barnes keeps moving. Barnes throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Barnes can do anything to dispel that myth. Slabadavski looking to pass the guard. Slabadavski cracks Barnes with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
