The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Struve shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Marshall napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Struve wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Marshall, who protects the arm well.
Marshall tries to buck Struve off but Struve is having none of it.
Marshall can't do much from the bottom here.
Marshall is looking to regain half guard here but Struve keeps moving and retains side control.

Struve thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Struve is looking to take a break and control but Marshall is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Struve fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Marshall, pushing him back against the cage.
Marshall is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Struve pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Struve gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Struve is working for a kimura but Marshall is defending it quite comfortably.
Marshall has a hand on Struve's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Struve takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Marshall is looking to get to half guard.

Struve is working for a guillotine from mount but Marshall frees his head quite easily.
Marshall is wriggling around trying to escape.

Marshall tries to improve his position but Struve has taken his back! Struve has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Marshall tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Struve pushes Marshall away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
