Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carlos Oliveira!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Asim Rahaminamusa!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Chad Campbell and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Oliveira is defended easily by Rahaminamusa.

Rahaminamusa pushes Oliveira up against the cage in a clinch.
Rahaminamusa should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Rahaminamusa gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Oliveira.
Rahaminamusa wants a takedown but no success here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rahaminamusa tries to circle away but Oliveira has him pinned against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rahaminamusa has had enough of the clinch but Oliveira keeps him there for the moment.
Rahaminamusa is working for takedown but Oliveira is calmly controlling the position for now.
Oliveira fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlos Oliveira. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rahaminamusa is pushing Oliveira up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Oliveira prevents the takedown attempt.
Oliveira tries to pull guard but Rahaminamusa won't allow it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Rahaminamusa manages to break the clinch.

Rahaminamusa closes the distance and clinches.
Rahaminamusa drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Oliveira gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Oliveira tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rahaminamusa smiles and moves away.
A big right from Oliveira misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Rahaminamusa shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Oliveira manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Rahaminamusa postures up.
Oliveira has control of Rahaminamusa's left arm, preventing Rahaminamusa from doing any damage.

Oliveira working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rahaminamusa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rahaminamusa manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Rahaminamusa is sitting in close to Oliveira's body. Oliveira has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Rahaminamusa is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Rahaminamusa is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Oliveira.
