The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
amoussou shoots in but Carlin avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Carlin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in amoussou's guard.
Carlin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
