The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jefferson doesn't manage to clinch there - Price circles away.
Price throws a right hand that Jefferson ducks under and follows up with a left that Jefferson also avoids with ease.
Price looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Price throws a jab but it's blocked by Jefferson.
Price throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jefferson fails in his attempt to clinch.

Jefferson forces Price back against the cage and clinches.
Jefferson throws a punch but it's blocked by Price.
Jefferson throws a punch but it's blocked by Price.
Jefferson looking to throw knees to the head but Price is blocking nicely.
Jefferson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Price walks away with a smile on his face. Jefferson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Jefferson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Price paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Jefferson is desperately trying to improve his position but Price has a good base and remains in mount.
Price takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Price throws a wild body kick that Jefferson sees coming a mile off.
Price circles away from the clinch attempt.

Jefferson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Price paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jefferson is defended easily by Price.

Jefferson takes the fight into the clinch.
Jefferson with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

and Price counters with a series of strikes. Jefferson will be more careful next time no doubt.

Price uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jefferson has time to react.
Price stuns Jefferson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Jefferson is breathing heavily.
Price throws out a leg kick but Jefferson moves out of range and Price only half commits.

Jefferson darts in and clinches Price up against the cage.
Jefferson landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Jefferson unloads a knee to the mid-section. Price lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Price.
Jefferson is trying to break free.
Price is looking to break free of the clinch but Jefferson has double underhooks.
Price tries to pull guard but Jefferson won't allow it.
Jefferson wants to get back to striking at distance but Price won't allow it.
Jefferson throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Price blocks it with crossed arms.
Price is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Jefferson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jefferson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jefferson moves in looking to clinch but Price pushes him off.
Price rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jefferson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jefferson shoots in and drives through. Price sprawls well.
Jake Price has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Jefferson.

Jefferson tries to close the distance and clinch but Price swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jake Price is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Price counters with a nice kick to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jefferson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Price.

Price connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Price misses with a wild body shot.
Jefferson wants to clinch.
Price swings for the body but Jefferson moves out of range.
Jefferson doesn't manage to clinch there - Price circles away.
Price moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Jefferson moves out of range of the leg kick from Price.
Jefferson checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Jefferson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Price to the mat! Price manages to get full guard.
Jefferson wants to stand and escape but instead Price has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Price sitting in guard, not really doing much.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Price trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jake Price dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on George Jefferson's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

enabling Price to counter with a crisp jab.

Price rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jefferson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

George Jefferson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jefferson closes the distance but Price moves to the side
and Price connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jefferson tries to move into range but Price moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Price throws a hook but Jefferson blocks it.

Jefferson rushes Price and presses him up against the cage.
Price takes a knee right on the jaw!


It looks like Jake Price has been cut.

Jefferson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jefferson needs to keep his hands up - Price had a free shot at his head there.
Nice uppercut lands for Price. That snapped Jefferson's head back.


The cut above George Jefferson's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Price rushes Jefferson with punches - Jefferson moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Jefferson goes down! Price follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jake Price!
