Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sehertaui Intef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Intef has chosen Pain - Shut your mouth as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jesus Cruz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sehertaui Intef! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Mauricio Rocha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cruz fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Cruz wants to clinch up but Intef keeps it at a distance. Cruz shoots in and drives through. Intef sprawls well. Cruz wants to clinch up but Intef keeps it at a distance. Intef lands with a straight right. Cruz didn't see that one coming.
It looks like Jesus Cruz has been cut. The crowd cheers as Intef lands an impressive looking overhand right. Cruz doesn't seem phased though. Intef swats away the attempt to clinch by Cruz. Intef scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Nice cross by Intef. Intef fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cruz manages to avoid it. Cruz tries to clinch up but Intef circles away and keeps his distance. Cruz is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Cruz fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Intef drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cruz being controlled for a moment. Intef looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Intef avoids the strikes from the bottom by Cruz.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Cruz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Intef on the ground. Cruz looks to move to half guard but instead Intef has passed into mount! Damn! Intef looking to control and managing it successfully. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Cruz can't escape the position.
Intef avoids the attempt from Cruz to control. Intef working for a submission but Cruz is keeping him at bay. Intef wants to control the pace but Cruz is squirming around nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Intef is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Cruz has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Cruz is in all sorts of trouble here.
Cruz is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Intef looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Cruz really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Intef controlling his opponent. Intef tries to control but Cruz wriggling away. Cruz can't escape the position.
Cruz is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. A nice elbow there by Intef. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Intef pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sehertaui Intef dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jesus Cruz's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Cruz takes one to the chin there. The fighters circling - Intef throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Cruz takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Intef avoids the head kick by Cruz.
Intef misses the jab. Cruz is looking to clinch. Intef drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Intef throwing strikes but missing. Intef trying to control the position from guard on top but Cruz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Intef with a flurry of punches that miss. Cruz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cruz wants to sweep here but Intef controlling him for the moment. Intef drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Intef jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Intef controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Cruz wants to improve his position but instead Intef has moved into half guard.
Intef is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Cruz is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Sehertaui Intef!
