Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jin Shiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kim Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jin Shiro has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jin Shiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kim Kong!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Taro Takaoka and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kong swinging wildly here.

Shiro closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Shiro lands in his opponent's guard.
Shiro trying to control the position from guard on top but Kong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Shiro is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Kong is looking to stand up but Shiro isn't so interested in that idea.
Kong keeping moving, preventing Shiro from controlling successfully.
Shiro pushing down on Kong's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Shiro trying to pass the guard but Kong defending well.
Shiro throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Shiro is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kong sees it coming and defends easily.
Shiro trying to control from half guard but Kong is working away.
Shiro wants to free his trapped foot but Kong is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Kong pushes Shiro off looking to stand but Shiro dives back in and keeps control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Shiro wants to pass to mount but Kong is defending the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kong bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Shiro's head.
Kong misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kim Kong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kong misses with a series of wild punches.

Kong gets caught flat footed, as Shiro shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kong is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Shiro is controlling him.

Shiro thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Kong has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Shiro off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Kong throws a series of punches but Shiro moves out of range.
Kong looks gassed!
Kong throws a right and a left that Shiro avoids nicely.
Shiro tries for a takedown but Kong sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Shiro shoots in for a takedown but Kong shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kong loads up on a big right hand but Shiro slips the punch.
Kong misses with a double jab.
Kong is looking to clinch.
Kong rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shiro moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Shiro closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Shiro has hold of Kong's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Kong seems comfortable defending it but Shiro has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Kong is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Kong is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Shiro couldn't care less - he's delighted!
