PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Bullit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Foxtrot Kilo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kilo's choice of entrance music: Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kilo feints and as Bullit raises his hands in defense, Kilo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kilo not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Bullit looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Kilo has picked Bullit up and slammed him! Bullit can't keep hold of the triangle and Kilo manages to pass to side control!
Kilo is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Kilo wants to control but Bullit is keeping him busy.
Bullit is looking to regain half guard here but Kilo keeps moving and retains side control.
Bullit is working hard here to advance position.
Kilo controls the position from side control.

Bullit tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kilo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Kilo remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Bullit is looking for a sweep.
Kilo takes a little break here. Bullit wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Bullit tries to improve position but can't.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee asks Kilo politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kilo prefers to stall for the moment though.
Bullit tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kilo happy to just control the position for now.
Bullit is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kilo's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Bullit wants to get back to full guard but Kilo has passed into side control.
BOOM! Kilo connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Bullit is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Kilo sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Despite being in the dominant position, Foxtrot Kilo just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bullit with a poor takedown
and Kilo counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Bullit is breathing heavily.

Kilo feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Bullit sprawling to the canvas! Bullit rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Kilo finish him?!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kilo misses with a body shot.

Kilo jabs Bullit right on the nose. Bullit blinks but takes it well.
A combination from Kilo does no damage.
Kilo lands a jab to Bullit's midsection.
Kilo scores with a body shot.
Bullit on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Kilo punishes Bullit's body with a nice straight punch.
Kilo walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Bullit drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Kilo swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Bullit's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
