Banajev kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Arcana - Autumnal. Maxim Banajev has the better chin. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guti shoots for a double leg takedown but Banajev sprawls well. He's pushed Guti's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Good standup being displayed there by Banajev as he connects with a hook.
Banajev's corner calls for a 1-2. Banajev obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Banajev cracks Guti with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Banajev closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Guti takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Guti takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Guti is trying desperately to land a takedown but Banajev is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Guti.
Banajev catches Guti with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Banajev looks to land a combination. Guti sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Banajev scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Banajev fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Guti looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Banajev lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Guti is still on wobbly legs! Can Banajev finish him?
Banajev connects with a right hand. Guti shakes it off.
Banajev throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Guti colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Banajev as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Guti is left battered and dazed whilst Banajev and his camp cheer!
