Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeremiah Brody (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus OConnor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brody has a takedown stuffed.
Brody is trying hard to land a takedown here. OConnor sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Brody is breathing heavily.

OConnor has Brody up against the cage in a clinch.
Brody can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremiah Brody. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Brody fails to pull guard.
Brody tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. OConnor just stands there and leans against the cage.
Brody jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as OConnor walks away with a smile on his face. Brody gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Brody shoots in for a takedown but OConnor shows good takedown defense.

OConnor closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

OConnor tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

OConnor looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Brody!
OConnor trying to control but Brody is having none of it.
Brody has given up his back. Will we see OConnor going for some submissions?

OConnor throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
