Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sepp Maier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sum Ting Wong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maier kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Apaga mas não bate. Wong has chosen The Architect - DJ Davey B as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wong pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Wong wants to slow Maier down by chopping away at his legs.
Maier shoots in for a takedown but Wong shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Maier closes the distance and clinches up with Wong, looking for a takedown. Maier pushes Wong against the cage but Wong circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Wong postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Maier is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Wong, into his guard.

Maier drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Maier jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Wong has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Maier can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Wong has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Maier off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
