Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Narvith Barcarse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mirko Sednik!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Sednik.

Barcarse wants to get back to his feet but Sednik is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sednik throws out a loose jab but Barcarse uses good head movement to avoid it.
Sednik pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Sednik throws a nice outside leg kick.
Barcarse takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Barcarse tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sednik swivels and escapes.
Sednik defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Barcarse.
Barcarse is breathing heavily.
A head kick misses from Sednik.
Sednik slaps away a takedown attempt from Barcarse, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Sednik throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

The fighters circling - Sednik throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Barcarse tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sednik swivels and escapes.
Sednik throws a sloppy head kick and Barcarse moves out of range easily.

Barcarse looks for a takedown but Sednik sprawls well.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Barcarse dives in and grabs Sednik's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sednik pushes down on Barcarse's head and hops out.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Barcarse is looking to clinch.
Barcarse tries to close the distance and clinch but Sednik swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sednik throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Sednik looks to throw the jab but Barcarse is out of range.
Barcarse throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sednik's waist but Sednik gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Barcarse off to one side.

Sednik displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Barcarse.
John Narvith Barcarse is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A head kick from Sednik lands but Barcarse takes it in his stride.
Sednik throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Barcarse.
Barcarse shoots for a double leg takedown but Sednik sprawls well. He's pushed Barcarse's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Barcarse shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sednik sprawls well. Sednik wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Barcarse gets slowly back to his feet.
Sednik lets loose with a powerful body kick. Barcarse will feel that in the morning.

A looping hook to the body misses from Sednik. Barcarse does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sednik swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Barcarse changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sednik tries to avoid it but Barcarse manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sednik to the ground. Sednik escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Both fighters circling a little - Sednik finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Barcarse takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Barcarse has Sednik pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Barcarse pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sednik tumbling to the mat - Barcarse dives into Sednik's guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Barcarse with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Barcarse stops Sednik from standing up.
Barcarse working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Barcarse postures up and lands a big shot to Sednik's brow.
Sednik is looking to stand up but Barcarse isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Barcarse ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Barcarse no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Sednik would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Barcarse wriggles free and stands up.

And that's the end of the fight!
John Narvith Barcarse showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Sednik has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
