The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crocop is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Crocop tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ewing paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Ewing fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Crocop on the side of the head.

Crocop will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ewing fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Crocop avoids it really well and circles away.

Crocop displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ewing throws out the jab.

Crocop takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Crocop leaves Ewing with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Ewing shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ewing was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ewing has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Crocop's face.

Ewing has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Crocop's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Ewing will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Ewing fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Crocop tries to buck Ewing off but he can't manage it.

Ewing postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Crocop looks a forlorn figure.

Ewing postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Crocop covers up, he's hurt! Ewing keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Ewing and the ref steps in to end the fight! Ewing can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
