PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stretch Morbid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Will (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Morbid might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Fight song. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Morbid closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Morbid really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Morbid managing to block the knees to the body from Will.
Morbid landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Will is working Morbid over against the cage.
Will throws a knee to the head but misses.

The referee calls for Morbid to work.
Morbid fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Morbid's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Stretch Morbid.
Will wants to clinch
and Morbid counters with a nice low kick that buckles Will's knee momentarily.

Will looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Morbid!
Will thowing shots but they're missing.

Will avoids the attempt from Morbid to control.
Morbid is squirming around, avoiding Will's attempts to control the action.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Morbid keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Morbid tries to lock up and control but Will gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Morbid is squirming around, avoiding Will's attempts to control the action.
Will really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morbid. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Will looking to ground and pound but Morbid is blocking nicely.
Will manages to capitalize on a mistake by Morbid to take his back!

Morbid trying to control the hands but Will breaks the grip.
Will keeps control of the position easily here as Morbid tries to buck him off.
Will is striking from the back but Morbid escapes and manages to recover to half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Will doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Morbid decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Will's guard.

Will has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Morbid is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Will.
Will looks gassed!
Will is trying to control Morbid's posture but Morbid avoids it.

Will is trying to get back to half guard.
Morbid tries to advance to mount but Will denies him.
Will can't do much from the bottom here.
Morbid controlling the position from side mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stretch Morbid dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Will swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Will tries a head kick but it misses.

Morbid drives through and clinches with Will against the cage.
Will wants to break the clinch but can't.
Will takes a knee right on the jaw!
Morbid is trying to maintain a safe position but Will gets an underhook and turns Morbid into the cage.
Morbid prevents a takedown attempt there.
Morbid just leaning against Will, taking a breather.
Morbid tries to stall but Will uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Morbid landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Will stalling in the clinch but Morbid improves position.
Will swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Come on Morbid - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Will manages to break the clinch.
Will swats away the attempt to clinch by Morbid.
Will clinches but Morbid breaks the clinch

and Morbid moves into the clinch.

Morbid with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Morbid tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Morbid landing knees to the body.
Will tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Morbid smiles and moves away.

Morbid moves into the clinch successfully.
Will wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Morbid has him pressed against the cage.
Morbid unloads a knee to the mid-section. Will lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Morbid has Will pushed against the cage.
Will jumps guard but Morbid stands there with Will around his waist. Will gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Stretch Morbid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Will.
Will tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Morbid just stands there and leans against the cage.

Will is fighting off a takedown attempt but Morbid is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Will to the mat. Will regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Will looking for a sweep. Not yet Will, not yet.
Will controls Morbid momentarily but Morbid frees himself.

Will tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Will throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Morbid decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Will, up you get!

Will throws an overhand right that has Morbid reeling! Will follows up with a more punches and Morbid is out cold! This one is all over!
