The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turkman tries to clinch but McGavin is having none of it.
McGavin is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
McGavin throws a nice outside leg kick.
McGavin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Turkman swivels and escapes.

and McGavin counters with a slapping leg kick.
Turkman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McGavin as he avoids it easily.
Turkman looks to land a combination. McGavin sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like Shooter McGavin has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and McGavin counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McGavin wants to control from the top but Turkman keeps moving.

McGavin stands up from Turkman's guard - McGavin perhaps looking for a knockout.
Turkman lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Nice takedown defense from Turkman. No joy for McGavin on that attempt.

and Turkman counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
McGavin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

McGavin takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Turkman missing with a left hand there. McGavin was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

and Turkman counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

McGavin clinches up against the cage.

Turkman pulls guard effortlessly.
McGavin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
McGavin prevents Turkman from getting back to his feet.

Turkman is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
McGavin is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
McGavin slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
McGavin tries for a kimura but Turkman is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Shooter McGavin will probably get the nod.

Turkman lands a slapping body shot.
Turkman lands a jab-cross combination.
Turkman scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Turkman goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

McGavin is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Turkman feints a jab and as McGavin dips his head, Turkman unleashes a brutal head kick that catches McGavin right on the jaw! Timbeeer! McGavin falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Turkman smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
