Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Liotto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gegard Mousasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida misses with a hook.
Mousasi tries for a takedown but Machida sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Mousasi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Machida tries to avoid it but Mousasi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Machida to the ground. Machida escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Machida throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Machida clobbers Mousasi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Gegard Mousasi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Machida bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mousasi 's head backwards.

Mousasi has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.

Mousasi is trying desperately to land a takedown but Machida is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Mousasi .
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd cheers as Machida lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mousasi doesn't seem phased though.

Mousasi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Machida sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mousasi somewhat.
