Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Filipovic Uzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lex Luther (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lex Luther has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Filipovic Uzi's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Luther drives through with a takedown into guard.

Uzi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Uzi looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Uzi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Luther is one step ahead there.
Luther controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Uzi doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Luther is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Luther seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Despite being in the dominant position, Lex Luther just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Uzi throws a head kick that misses.
Luther tries to score a power double leg takedown but Uzi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Luther somewhat.

Luther decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Uzi is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Luther jumps into side control!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Luther wants to control but Uzi is keeping him busy.
Luther is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Uzi sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Uzi tries to get to full guard but Luther has control of the leg.
Luther content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Uzi tries a head kick but it misses.
Uzi throws the left hand but Luther avoids the punch easily.

Luther closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Uzi tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Luther wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Luther goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Uzi rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Luther's guard! Nice work there by Uzi!
Luther takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Uzi postures up.

Uzi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Luther has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Uzi has managed to get both his arms back between Luther's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Luther lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Uzi!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Uzi throws a sloppy head kick and Luther moves out of range easily.

Filipovic Uzi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Uzi goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Luther will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
