Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Colin Gray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Troy Marsch!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marsch scores a takedown into full mount!
Gray wants to control but Marsch is having none of it.

Marsch unloads with some shots from mount but Gray bucks and avoids them well.

Gray bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Gray wants to pass the guard but Marsch is keeping the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Gray jumps into guard, dragging Marsch to the mat.

Marsch's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Gray wants to stand up but Marsch is controlling him.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Marsch drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Marsch jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Marsch looking to sit in guard and control but Gray gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Marsch not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Troy Marsch dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Marsch fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Marsch wants to clinch up but Gray keeps it at a distance.

and Gray counters with a single leg into guard. Marsch didn't expect that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gray got a little sloppy there for a moment and Marsch has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gray has managed to get both his arms back between Marsch's legs - danger averted.

Marsch wants to get back to his feet but Gray is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Gray not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Marsch wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Gray manages to pass to side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Marsch is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gray's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gray's back!

Gray controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Marsch is trying to keep Gray in close.
Gray trying to control the position from guard on top but Marsch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Marsch is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Colin Gray dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Marsch rushes Gray and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Marsch breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Gray counters with a single leg into guard. Marsch didn't expect that.
Gray stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marsch swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Marsch working for submissions but it's allowed Gray to get to half guard.
Gray is thwarting Marsch's attempts to control the position.
Gray thows a huge punch but Marsch dodges it nicely.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Marsch manages to get to full guard.
Gray trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Marsch is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Colin Gray overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Gray has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Marsch is proving hard to escape from.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Marsch controls Gray momentarily but Gray frees himself.
Gray won't allow Marsch to get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Marsch bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gray's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Colin Gray showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Gray has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
