Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Anderson Griffin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shane Carter! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Franklyn Lucas and Reed Andrews.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position. Griffin wants to break the clinch but can't.
A frustrated look appears on Griffin's face as he tries to break the clinch. Carter wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Griffin is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Carter is keeping busy. Griffin drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Carter gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Carter has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Griffin has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Carter is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Carter tries to break free but Griffin pushes him back against the cage. Carter keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Griffin's efforts to push away. Griffin has Carter pressed against the cage, preventing Carter from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Griffin throws a punch but it's blocked by Carter. Griffin tries to pull guard but Carter holds him up against the cage and eventually Griffin drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anderson Griffin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Griffin has Carter pressed against the cage, preventing Carter from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Griffin misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Carter.
Griffin tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Carter just stands there and leans against the cage. Carter working hard to break the clinch. Carter keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Griffin's efforts to push away. Griffin has Carter pressed against the cage, preventing Carter from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Griffin tries to throw a body punch but Carter avoids it by throwing Griffin back against the cage. Griffin looking to slow down the pace here. Griffin seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Carter is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Carter has Griffin pressed against the cage, preventing Griffin from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Griffin stalling in the clinch but Carter improves position. Griffin has Carter pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Carter manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Carter is looking to break free of the clinch but Griffin has double underhooks. Griffin is looking to break free of the clinch but Carter has double underhooks. Carter has had enough of the clinch but Griffin keeps him there for the moment. Carter is trying to break free. Griffin tries to pull guard but Carter holds him up against the cage and eventually Griffin drops back down to his feet.

Carter connects with a looping right hand.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Carter is defended easily by Griffin. Griffin wants to clinch and Carter counters with a crisp right that sends Griffin to the canvas! Carter follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
