Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenji Kuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wanderlei Orlando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kuraba gets the takedown into side control.
Orlando is trying to buck Kuraba off.
Kuraba tries to score with some ground and pound. Orlando controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Orlando is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Kuraba is controlling him well.

Kuraba tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kuraba has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Orlando is not content to let Kuraba control the position.
Orlando is trying to get back to his feet.
Kuraba has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kuraba tries to move to mount but Orlando blocks the move with his legs.
Kuraba wants to control but Orlando is keeping him busy.

Kuraba tries for a kimura but Orlando is defending well.

Kuraba wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Orlando, who protects the arm well.
Orlando wants to get back to his feet.
Orlando looks gassed!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Orlando shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Orlando showed some decent athleticism there.
Kuraba trying to hold on to Orlando's head to control him but Orlando postures up.

Kuraba is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Orlando content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Kuraba has locked up a guillotine! Kuraba's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Orlando is holding on here and Kuraba must be using up a lot of energy. Orlando has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Kuraba gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
