Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shane WiIliams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martti Metsonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). WiIliams comes to the cage accompanied by Eye Of The Tiger. Metsonen has chosen - as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shane WiIliams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Martti Metsonen!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
WiIliams loads up on a big right hand but Metsonen slips the punch.
Metsonen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
WiIliams circles away from the clinch attempt.
Metsonen swings for the body but WiIliams moves out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Metsonen. WiIliams does a little dance to reset his feet.
WiIliams swings away with a body shot that misses
and Metsonen counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Metsonen is trying to work for a kimura but WiIliams is defending well.
Metsonen tries to pass the half guard into mount. WiIliams knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
WiIliams avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Metsonen.
Metsonen missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
WiIliams manages to get to full guard.
Metsonen is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! WiIliams is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! WiIliams has escaped and now he's on top!
WiIliams is looking to work some ground and pound but Metsonen has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Metsonen is on top in guard.
WiIliams is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Metsonen won't allow WiIliams to pass to mount.
Metsonen moves into full guard.
WiIliams scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
WiIliams landing with the ground and pound.
WiIliams wants to control from the top but Metsonen keeps moving.
Metsonen wants to sweep but no luck.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
WiIliams looking to pass the guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
WiIliams has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Metsonen is proving hard to escape from.
Metsonen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
WiIliams instigates a clinch.
Metsonen tries to work over WiIliams's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
WiIliams breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Metsonen doesn't manage to clinch there - WiIliams circles away.
Metsonen is looking to clinch.
A jab from WiIliams finds it's way through Metsonen's defenses.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Metsonen takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Metsonen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Metsonen.
WiIliams stuffs the takedown.
Metsonen looks gassed!
Metsonen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Metsonen uses good head movement to avoid the hook from WiIliams.
Metsonen closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
WiIliams cracks Metsonen on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Metsonen falls backwards against the cage. WiIliams follows up with more strikes that drop Metsonen to his knees. WiIliams keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Metsonen! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shane WiIliams!
