The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tinsley throws a push kick but Escalante slaps the foot to one side.
Escalante tries to close the distance and clinch but Tinsley swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Escalante.
Escalante closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tinsley circles away.
Escalante takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Tinsley rushes Escalante and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Escalante tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Boyd Tinsley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pedro Ivan Escalante.

Escalante changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Tinsley fights it off and pushes away nicely.
