Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George StClaire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bell comes to the cage accompanied by Foals - Spanish Sahara. Joe Bell has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Bell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George StClaire! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bell stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bell wants it to stay on the feet. Bell takes a swing at StClaire's ribcage but misses. Bell scores with a hook to the body. StClaire takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. StClaire tries to clinch up but Bell circles away and keeps his distance. Bell throws a right hand that StClaire ducks under and follows up with a left that StClaire also avoids with ease. StClaire shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bell as he jumps to the side. Bell takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
StClaire tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bell sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten StClaire somewhat. Joe Bell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George StClaire. StClaire shoots for a double leg takedown but Bell sprawls well. He's pushed StClaire's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Bell moves into the clinch. StClaire tries for a takedown but Bell manages to get underhooks.

StClaire can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bell controls the pace. Bell trying to control but StClaire is working from the bottom. Bell looking to pass the guard. Bell showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Bell wants to pass the guard but StClaire is keeping the position. StClaire keeping moving, preventing Bell from controlling successfully.

Bell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bell manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bell is looking to stand up but StClaire won't let him. StClaire is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bell is aware though and is defending well. Bell not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Bell trying to control but StClaire is working from the bottom. Bell pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. StClaire is keeping the position for now. StClaire looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Bell has picked StClaire up and slammed him! StClaire can't keep hold of the triangle and Bell manages to pass to side control! Bell trying to control the position but StClaire is working away. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. StClaire misses with a series of wild punches.
StClaire moves in looking to clinch but Bell pushes him off. Horrible takedown by StClaire or perhaps it was just good defense by Bell which made him look bad. StClaire dives in and grabs Bell's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bell pushes down on StClaire's head and hops out. Bell misses with a wild body shot. Bell jabbing away but nothing is landing. Bell throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bell throws a hook but StClaire blocks it. Nice sprawl there from Bell as StClaire shoots in. Bell tries to close the distance and clinch but StClaire swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. StClaire is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bell sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. StClaire swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bell scores with a crisp jab that stopped StClaire in his tracks. StClaire on the wrong end of a nice jab.
StClaire is rocked! Bell misses with a hook. StClaire ducked under it nicely. StClaire is still on wobbly legs! Can Bell finish him? Bell misses with a looping left. StClaire seems to have recovered his senses. No luck with that takedown attempt from StClaire. George StClaire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. StClaire moves out of range as Bell strikes. Bell swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Bell throws a hook but StClaire blocks it. Bell sizes up StClaire with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

StClaire closes the distance and clinches up with Bell, looking for a takedown. StClaire pushes Bell against the cage but Bell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. StClaire is looking to land body kicks. StClaire shoots for a double leg takedown but Bell sprawls well. He's pushed StClaire's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. StClaire displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bell throws out the jab. StClaire ducked under it nicely. StClaire takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. StClaire fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bell avoids it really well and circles away. StClaire shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bell as he avoids it easily. StClaire is breathing heavily. A lazy left from Bell finds it's target.

StClaire bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. StClaire looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. StClaire is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bell sees it coming and defends easily. StClaire passes to full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. StClaire is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Bell to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Bell shrugs it off. Bell is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. StClaire working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. StClaire goes for an armbar but Bell turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Bell. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Joe Bell will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Joe Bell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Bell's corner is telling him to maintain position. StClaire escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bell gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Bell won't allow StClaire to get back to his feet. StClaire throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
George StClaire has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bell trying to control but StClaire is working from the bottom. Bell stays in close to StClaire's body and controls the position.

And that's the end of the fight! Joe Bell showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
