Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Raiser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenta Kobashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tony Raiser! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kenta Kobashi! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Felipe Paraventi and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Raiser swats away the attempt to clinch by Kobashi. Kobashi tries to clinch up. Kobashi tries to clinch but Raiser moves out of range. Kobashi looks to land a combination but Raiser avoids it well. Kobashi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Raiser tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kobashi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Raiser somewhat. Kobashi blocks a head kick by Raiser.
Kobashi closes the distance looking to clinch and Raiser counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Raiser pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kobashi is keeping the position for now. Raiser has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Raiser postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kobashi is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Raiser, into his guard. Raiser preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kobashi throwing strikes from guard but Raiser blocks nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kobashi throwing strikes but missing. Raiser utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kobashi is fighting to break Raiser's control of his arms but Raiser is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Kobashi loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Kobashi missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kobashi is in close to Raiser's body, working some short punches and elbows. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kobashi's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Raiser trying to control the position.
Kobashi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Raiser trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Raiser tries to land a sweep but no joy. Raiser escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kobashi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Raiser on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Raiser tries to get out of the position. Kobashi cracks Raiser with a solid left hand. Kobashi trying to control the position from guard on top but Raiser is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Raiser working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kobashi. That's three minutes gone in the round. Kobashi wants to control from the top but Raiser keeps moving. Kobashi thows a big elbow that misses. Raiser keeping moving, preventing Kobashi from controlling successfully. Raiser pulls Kobashi in close to his closed guard and prevents Kobashi from doing any damage or advancing position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Raiser tries a head kick but it misses.
Kobashi throws a body kick that misses. Kobashi throws a big shot that misses. Raiser shoots for a takedown but Kobashi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Kobashi throws a shot from downtown. Raiser moves away and avoids it. Kobashi wants to clinch up but Raiser keeps it at a distance. Kobashi wants to clinch but Raiser slips to the side and Raiser counters with a right hand to the body. Kobashi looks gassed! Raiser closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kobashi to the mat! Kobashi manages to get full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Raiser trying to control the position from guard on top but Kobashi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Raiser passes Kobashi's left leg - he's now in half guard. Raiser is looking for a kimura but Kobashi is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Raiser to get the leverage. Raiser looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kobashi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Raiser scoring with strikes to the body and head. Raiser is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Raiser is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kobashi looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Raiser wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kobashi keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Raiser looks to land a body kick but Kobashi moved away. Raiser shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kobashi manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Kobashi working a defensive guard here.
Raiser is working Kobashi over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Raiser drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kobashi dives on top into guard. Kobashi looking to sit in guard and control but Raiser gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kobashi looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kobashi is breathing heavily. Raiser is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's one minute gone in the round. Raiser stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kobashi swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kobashi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Raiser controls the pace. Raiser decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kobashi, up you get! Kobashi tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Raiser is able to avoid easily. Raiser scores with a decent looking hook. Raiser takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Kobashi wants to clinch up but Raiser keeps it at a distance. Raiser gets a takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Raiser tries to pass to full mount but Kobashi defends it. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Raiser lands a nice short elbow. Tony Raiser overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Raiser is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kobashi doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Raiser. Raiser is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Raiser is nestled in close to Kobashi, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Raiser seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kobashi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Raiser scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Kobashi tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Kobashi wants to get back to his feet. Raiser is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Kobashi throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Raiser was covering up waiting for the punch and Kobashi finishes the takedown easily into guard. Raiser manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kobashi manages to get himself to full guard.
Raiser is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Raiser drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kobashi looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kobashi looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kobashi! Raiser takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Kobashi landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Raiser blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kobashi. Kobashi thows a huge punch but Raiser dodges it nicely.
Raiser is refusing to be controlled, as Kobashi sits in half guard. Kobashi not landing any meaningful shots this time. Raiser throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Raiser avoids the head kick by Kobashi.
A bone on bone clash there as Kobashi blocks the leg kick.
Raiser throws a right and a left that both miss. Raiser ducks under a wild hook from Kobashi. Kobashi gets a clinch. Kobashi gets underhooks to prevent Raiser's takedown attempt.
Kobashi pushes off an throws an elbow but Raiser leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Kobashi is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Kobashi wants to break the clinch but can't.
Raiser drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kobashi gets the underhooks and prevents it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tony Raiser. That's going to take a lot out of him. Raiser tries for a takedown but Kobashi manages to get underhooks.
Raiser changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kobashi fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kobashi has his takedown stuffed and Raiser decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kobashi's guard. Raiser is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Raiser lands a couple of digs. Kobashi trying to strike off his back.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A slow jab from Kobashi misses its intended target. Raiser fails with a takedown attempt. Raiser shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kobashi as he jumps to the side. Kenta Kobashi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kobashi moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. A punch combination from Raiser misses. Raiser throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Kobashi tries to clinch but fails miserably and Raiser counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Raiser is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Kobashi flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Tony Raiser showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Raiser, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
