PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Troy Tycoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riku Vestala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tycoon's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, DJ Zany & Rollers Donkey På Qlimax 2006. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vestala tries to land a front kick but Tycoon steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Tycoon shoots in for a double leg but Vestala sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Vestala gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Tycoon counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Tycoon lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Vestala is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tycoon's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tycoon's back!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Vestala gets to his feet - Tycoon follows without any prompting.

Vestala throws a sloppy head kick and Tycoon moves out of range easily.

Vestala fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tycoon sprawls well initially but Vestala persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well Vestala has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
