Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wilhelm Qk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Davenport (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davenport has chosen Ready for the Fight as his entrance music. Wilhelm Qk has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wilhelm Qk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Thomas Davenport!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davenport throws a front kick aimed at Qk's knee but Qk avoids it well.
Qk changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Davenport tries to avoid it but Qk manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Davenport to the ground. Davenport escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Qk shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Davenport as he avoids it easily.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wilhelm Qk. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Qk misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Qk shoots in but no luck this time.
Qk shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Davenport sprawls well. Davenport wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Qk gets slowly back to his feet.
Wilhelm Qk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Qk is breathing heavily.
Qk fails with the takedown.

Davenport darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Davenport in particular looking to stall.

Davenport is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Qk is just riding it out for now. Davenport eventually gives up the hold.
Still in half guard, Davenport seems content to control.

Davenport's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Davenport is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Qk has managed to free his arm - good work.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Davenport in particular looking to stall.
Qk won't allow Davenport to pass to mount.
Davenport is looking to take a break and control but Qk is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Davenport prevents Qk from improving his position.

Davenport is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Qk defends it well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Davenport.

Qk tries to bench press Davenport off him but Davenport keeps the position.
Qk gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Davenport controlling the pace for now.

Davenport looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Davenport working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Qk looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Davenport! Submission of the night perhaps?
