The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Munoz shoots in for a double leg but Steadhem sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Steadhem looks to land a combination but Munoz avoids it well.

Munoz gets the takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ground and pound from Munoz seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Munoz working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Steadhem is looking to reverse the position.

Munoz thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
