Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between savester williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonie Bouwer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leonie Bouwer will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bouwer tries to close the distance and clinch up but williams swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bouwer dives in and grabs williams's left leg, looking for a takedown. williams pushes down on Bouwer's head and hops out.
Bouwer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bouwer takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

It looks like Leonie Bouwer has been cut.

williams shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bouwer is trying to defend but williams finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
williams thows a huge punch but Bouwer dodges it nicely.
williams has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bouwer wants to control but williams is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Bouwer is staying active underneath williams, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

williams seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bouwer for as long as he can get away with.

williams really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bouwer wants to stand and escape but williams is having none of it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

williams tries to lock up and control but Bouwer gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That was a close round but I would say that savester williams will probably get the nod.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bouwer is just content to waste time from the top position. williams takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

williams is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Bouwer rolls with it to try and escape but williams cranks on the arm and Bouwer is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
