Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Hitchcock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshi Chiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hitchcock misses with a takedown attempt - Chiba sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Nice takedown defense from Chiba. No joy for Hitchcock on that attempt.

Chiba gets a clinch.
Chiba is trying to drag Hitchcock to the mat but Hitchcock just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Hitchcock lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Chiba drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hitchcock gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Hitchcock is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

and Chiba counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Chiba really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hitchcock. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

and Hitchcock counters with a good, hard body kick but Chiba shrugs it off.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Chiba holds on and takes a little breather.

Hitchcock has hold of Chiba's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Chiba manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Chiba looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Hitchcock is trying to maintain the position but Chiba is very close to passing his half guard.
Chiba takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Chiba wants to stand but Hitchcock has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.

Hitchcock isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Chiba stacks Hitchcock on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Chiba!

Hitchcock has his foot on Chiba's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chiba works his way back into a safe position though.

Hitchcock has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Chiba should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Hitchcock has tightened it up now! Chiba should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
