The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans tries to clinch up but Stephansson circles away and keeps his distance.
Evans throws a series of punches but Stephansson moves out of range.
Evans throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Stephansson.
Evans lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Jeremy Stephansson has been cut.
Evans misses with a low kick.
Evans throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Evans rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stephansson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Stephansson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Evans throws a leg kick but Stephansson moved away.
Stephansson forces Evans back against the cage and clinches.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Stephansson gets control of Evans's arms and successfully pulls guard. Stephansson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Evans wanted to stand there but Stephansson had control of the position.
Stephansson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Evans shoots in but Stephansson avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Evans throws a wild body kick that Stephansson sees coming a mile off.
Stephansson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Stephansson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Evans.
Evans drops Stephansson with a beautiful combination! Stephansson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Evans is looking for the KO!
Stephansson is rocked!
That has opened up Jeremy Stephansson's cut even more.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stephansson walks straight into a right hand from Evans - that's dropped him! Evans jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Stephansson from any more punishment! Stephansson complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
