Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Baldrick Breitner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Breitner comes to the cage accompanied by BLUNT- "The Iron Maiden". White has chosen "Bring Out Your Dead" by Strung Out as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Baldrick Breitner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jay White!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Steve Montenegro and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Breitner closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Breitner lands in his opponent's guard.
Breitner trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Breitner slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Breitner working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

Breitner swings around for an armbar but White sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Breitner's guard.
White tries to free his leg and advance position but Breitner is retaining full guard.
White trying to control the position from guard on top but Breitner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
White working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Breitner preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
White must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
White slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
White's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
White passes Breitner's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
White is looking to take a break and control but Breitner is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
White perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Breitner is trying to get back to full guard.
White is trying to control. Breitner wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Breitner tries to get to full guard but White has control of the leg.
Breitner wants to sweep but White has passed to side control!
The referee asks White politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. White prefers to stall for the moment though.

White is looking to take a break and control but Breitner is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
White slows the pace down.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jay White just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
White misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
White throws a jab but it's blocked by Breitner.
Breitner uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by White.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Breitner does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
A combination from White does no damage.
A lazy left from Breitner finds it's target.
White checks a leg kick.
White scores with a three punch combo!
White throws the left hand but Breitner avoids the punch easily.
Breitner slips under a jab from White.
White throws a jab when Breitner was well out of range.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
White throws a lazy right hand but Breitner sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
White lands a slapping body shot.
White throws a leg kick that is checked

and Breitner counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jay White will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!

White swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Breitner counters with a flying knee. Nice.

and Breitner counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Breitner.
Breitner trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but White manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
White trying to control the position from guard on top but Breitner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

White preventing the sweep.
White is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
White wants to control from the top but Breitner keeps moving.
White wanted to stand there but Breitner had control of the position.
White pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Breitner is keeping the position for now.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
White tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Breitner was well out of range. Poor timing from White.
Breitner misses with a takedown attempt - White sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
White lands a jab to Breitner's midsection.
White throws a low kick but it's checked well by Breitner.
Breitner uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by White.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
White throws a front kick aimed at Breitner's knee but Breitner avoids it well.
White scores with a hook.
White misses with a wild combination.
White throws a jab when Breitner was well out of range.
White lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
White throws an overhand right that lands on Breitner's shoulder, as Breitner tries to avoid the shot.
White tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
White throws a leg kick

and Breitner counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Breitner is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
White tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Breitner has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Breitner wants to finish this one by submission but White is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Breitner.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Breitner is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. White can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Breitner fails to take his opponent's back.
White manages to control the position for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Baldrick Breitner will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


White stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Breitner.

Breitner gets the takedown into side control.

Breitner wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by White, who protects the arm well.
White struggling a bit here.
White tries to bench press Breitner off him but Breitner keeps the position.
White gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Breitner is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But White has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from White!

White wants to control from the top but Breitner keeps moving.

White stands up from guard. Let's bang!
White fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Breitner manages to avoid it.
Breitner fails to land the takedown.
White throws a front kick that sends Breitner stumbling back into the cage.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Breitner will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
White swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
White misses with the body kick

and Breitner counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Breitner looking to pass the guard.
White manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Breitner manages to get himself to full guard.
White pushing down on Breitner's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Breitner is not content to let White control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
White lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Breitner is looking for a sweep. White is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

White decides to stand and escape the position.
A punch combination from White misses.
White looks for the body kick but Breitner saw that one coming.
Breitner ducks under a wild hook from White.
Jay White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
White throws a hook but Breitner avoids it easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Jay White.
I think White has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
