The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connelly drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Connelly working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Connelly trying to control the position from guard on top but Haslam is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Connelly really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Haslam. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Connelly is sitting in close to Haslam's body. Haslam has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Connelly is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Connelly is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Haslam.
