Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

It looks like Murilo Silva has been cut.
Byford misses with a wild combination.
Byford throws a series of punches but Silva moves out of range.
Peter Byford seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva fails in his attempt to clinch.
Silva scores with a hook to the body. Byford takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Silva feints and as Byford raises his hands in defense, Silva changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Silva throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Byford works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Byford holds on and takes a little breather.
Byford on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Byford tries to get out of the position.
Silva advances position into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Byford is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Byford gets back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Byford won't allow Silva to pass to mount.
Byford wants to get back to full guard.
Byford keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva wants to pass the guard but Byford is defending well.
Silva wants to control but Byford is keeping him busy.
Silva prevents Byford from standing back up.
Byford is breathing heavily.

Byford has one foot on Silva's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Silva is defended easily by Byford.
Byford really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Byford swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Byford displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Silva.
Byford looks to score with a jab to the body but Silva is just out of range.
Byford misses with a head kick.

Silva closes the distance and pushes Byford back into the cage.
Byford tries to circle away but Silva has him pinned against the cage.
Silva is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Byford gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Peter Byford has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Murilo Silva.

Silva ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Silva no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Silva is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Byford drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Byford as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Silva screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Byford! Nice submission victory there!
