The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
bugly throws a hook but smalls blocks it.
bugly lands a nice hook to smalls's body. smalls takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
bugly lands a jab to the nose.

It looks like yasir smalls has been cut.
smalls misses with a wild combination.
bugly feints and then cracks smalls's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow smalls down.

bugly throws the kick towards the body but smalls avoids it.
ugly bugly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

bugly shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches smalls napping and manages to drive through into side control!
smalls is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

bugly wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by smalls, who protects the arm well.

bugly throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

bugly tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no bugly has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

smalls is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked bugly off and has taken his back!

bugly is trying to get back to his feet but smalls has full control of the position and if anything, bugly has just worked his way into a worse spot.

bugly has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

smalls gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That has opened up yasir smalls's cut even more.
bugly throws an overhand right that lands on smalls's shoulder, as smalls tries to avoid the shot.
bugly throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
bugly jabbing away but nothing is landing.
bugly throws a sloppy head kick and smalls moves out of range easily.
smalls uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by bugly.
bugly fakes a jab and throws a low kick but smalls checks it well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
bugly throws an overhand right that lands on smalls's shoulder, as smalls tries to avoid the shot.

smalls tries to close the distance and clinch up but bugly swats him away and circles back towards the center.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

smalls has bugly up against the cage in a clinch.
bugly is trying to break the clinch but smalls has him pressed against the cage.
smalls pushes off an throws an elbow but bugly leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
smalls with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
bugly is trying to force a seperation but smalls has the dominant position.

smalls breaks the clinch.
smalls takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
bugly connects with a body shot.
smalls wants to clinch.
bugly stuns smalls with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
smalls is breathing heavily.

bugly swats away the attempt to clinch by smalls.
smalls tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but bugly paws at him with a jab and circles away.
bugly scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

The cut above yasir smalls's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
smalls takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

yasir smalls's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
