Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wladimir Kyshenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksander Kudryavtsev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aleksander Kudryavtsev is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Wladimir Kyshenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aleksander Kudryavtsev!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kudryavtsev shoots in but no luck this time.
Kudryavtsev shoots for a takedown but Kyshenko saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Kyshenko moves into the clinch successfully.
Kudryavtsev keeps control of Kyshenko as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Kudryavtsev drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kyshenko gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Wladimir Kyshenko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aleksander Kudryavtsev.
Kyshenko is trying to break free.
Kyshenko could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Kudryavtsev is trying to drag Kyshenko to the mat but Kyshenko just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Kyshenko wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kudryavtsev has him pressed against the cage.
Kyshenko lands a nice shot to the body.

Kudryavtsev shoots in for a takedown but Kyshenko shows good takedown defense.
Kyshenko fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kudryavtsev fails with a takedown attempt.
Kyshenko lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kudryavtsev circles away quickly and effectively.
Kudryavtsev looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kyshenko is fending him off so far but Kudryavtsev persists. Nope, Kyshenko circles away and we're back to standing.
Aleksander Kudryavtsev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kudryavtsev looks gassed!

Kyshenko closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Kudryavtsev is working for takedown but Kyshenko is calmly controlling the position for now.

Kyshenko breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kudryavtsev throws a head kick that misses.
Kyshenko is looking to land body kicks.
Kudryavtsev is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kyshenko rushes Kudryavtsev and presses him up against the cage.

Kyshenko pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kudryavtsev shoots in for a takedown but Kyshenko shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kudryavtsev throws a right and a left that both miss.

Kyshenko closes the distance and pushes Kudryavtsev back into the cage.
Kyshenko looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Kyshenko breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kyshenko throws a right and a left that both miss.

Kyshenko has closed the distance and engaged Kudryavtsev in a clinch.
Kyshenko gets through Kudryavtsev's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Kyshenko is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Kudryavtsev goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kyshenko prevents it.

Kyshenko escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Kyshenko closes the distance and pushes Kudryavtsev back into the cage.

Kyshenko pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kyshenko lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Kyshenko manages to break the clinch.

Kyshenko shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kyshenko was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Kyshenko stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kyshenko throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kudryavtsev was covering up waiting for the punch and Kyshenko finishes the takedown easily into guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kudryavtsev is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kyshenko wants to stand but Kudryavtsev is controlling his posture from full guard.

Kyshenko got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kudryavtsev has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kyshenko has managed to get both his arms back between Kudryavtsev's legs - danger averted.
Kyshenko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kudryavtsev on the ground.
Kyshenko trying to stand up but can't free himself from Kudryavtsev's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kyshenko stands up and waves to Kudryavtsev to follow him.

Kyshenko drives through and clinches with Kudryavtsev against the cage.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Kudryavtsev can't get the takedown.
The referee calls for Kyshenko to work.

Kyshenko pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kudryavtsev gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Kyshenko counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kudryavtsev won't be happy with that.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kyshenko moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


It looks like Aleksander Kudryavtsev has been cut.
Kudryavtsev tries for a takedown but Kyshenko circles away easily

and Kyshenko counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kyshenko.
Kudryavtsev tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kyshenko smiles and moves away.
Kyshenko throws a series of punches but Kudryavtsev avoids them all with ease.
Kyshenko throws a hook to the side of Kudryavtsev's head but Kudryavtsev sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Kyshenko bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Kyshenko decides to stand back up.
Kudryavtsev staying out of range there.
Kyshenko tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kudryavtsev tries for a takedown but Kyshenko circles away easily

and Kyshenko counters with a shoot takedown. Kudryavtsev fights it but they end up in guard.
Wladimir Kyshenko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aleksander Kudryavtsev.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kyshenko gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Kyshenko misses the shot to the body.
Kudryavtsev circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kyshenko moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Danga de danga de dang - Kudryavtsev scores with a four punch combination!
Wladimir Kyshenko is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kudryavtsev gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

so Kyshenko counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Kudryavtsev has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Kyshenko doesn't defend quickly enough and Kudryavtsev has managed to lock this one up! Can Kyshenko escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Kudryavtsev on a fantastic submission victory.
