Wagner has chosen You're going down as his entrance music. Dan Wagner will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brawler misses with a double jab.
Wagner darts in and clinches Brawler up against the cage.
Brawler blocks an uppercut.
Brawler wants to break the clinch but can't.
Wagner breaks the clinch.
Wagner will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Brawler shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Wagner, as that shot connected.
Wagner has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Wagner sizes up Brawler with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Wagner moves into the clinch successfully.
Wagner digs a right hand underneath Brawler's ribcage. Brawler let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Brawler is trying to force a seperation but Wagner has the dominant position.

Wagner is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Brawler had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Wagner closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Wagner lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Brawler or not.

Wagner's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Wagner lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Wagner throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Brawler's head.
Brawler takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Wagner displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Brawler throws out the jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Wagner dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Wagner throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Brawler on the side of the head.

Brawler closes the distance but Wagner moves to the side
and Wagner counters by moving into the clinch.
Wagner has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

and Wagner holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Brawler shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Wagner counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
